In a food processor or blender container, combine the ricotta cheese, 3/4 cup of the yogurt, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla, and espresso powder. Process the mixture just until smoooth. Divide evenly between 4 serving dishes. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours. Before serving, top each dish with 1 tablespoon of the remaining vanilla yogurt and 3 of the coffee beans, if desired.
As for the Cocoa Puffs, I enjoy the chocolatey taste! I find that I prefer this flavor whenever I get a craving for chocolate! Finally, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch provides a more bran-tasting cinnamon flavor. It has a more robust taste, so i use this flavor more to wake myself up in the morning.
Or cook some porridge with a twist. This will provide with a nutritious, balanced breakfast and definitely help them keep them off snacking as both, the traditional breakfast and the porridge with a twist will provide them with the vitamins, minerals, protein and slow release carbohydrates they need.
Studies have shown that those who eat breakfast everyday are much more likely to keep extra weight off and also that breakfast is a must for a diabetic to keep their blood sugar at a healthy level. But make that a healthy breakfast! Skip the donuts, sweet rolls, sugary cereals, etc. Have some oatmeal with fresh fruit, an omelet, whole grain toast or English muffin, or a whole-grain cereal with a sugar substitute instead of sugar!! Top the cereal with fat-free milk or soy milk.
Plan ahead. Don’t expect yourself to live on a food plan based on deprivation. Take the time to identify the treats you want to indulge in and choose the trade-offs that you are willing to make. What are the temptations you can have anytime that you can pass by over the holiday months? What portion size will you serve yourself? Thinking proactively will increase your ability to be in control and to make effective choices.
Remember that you have to eat healthy foods. There is truth to the freshman 15. Make sure you’re aware of the foods you’re consuming. Avoid overconsuming fast foods and pizza. While it may seem like a cheap and quick option, you won’t be getting the nutrients that your body requires.
This is a nice alternative to the traditional breakfast of a bowl of cereal for more than one reason. I find myself that I always tend to let my milk spoil when i buy it. I just don’t use it fast enough to beat the expiration date. I also tend never to have time to wash dishes, and hate to continuously waste paper bowls and plastic spoons. Finally, my cereal finds a way of getting stale before I can finish a box. So, the milk and cereal bars are a way to avoid all of these problems!
